The Myrtle Beach Tennis Center has programs designed for all ages and abilities. Players will be evaluated to determine the appropriate  group.  Our program follows the  Games Based Approach so kids may begin to play the game as soon as possible while learning at the same time.

Junior Tennis


Junior Introductory Program

 
The Junior Introductory Program is an excellent way to introduce young children into the game. Normally in the 6-10 age group, players will focus on ball skills, hand-eye coordination and learning the basic stroke techniques using the guided discovery  check point teaching method. This will be a lively, fun program that will build the children's enthusiasm for the game of tennis.

Day - Mon-Tue-Wed-Thursday
Time - (summer) 9-10 AM (After School) 3-4 PM
Price - One Day Per Week = $35
Two Days Per Week = $55
Unlimited = $ 75

Junior Development Program

The Junior Development Program is designed for players who have graduated from the Junior Introductory Program or have acquired the basic skills for all the fundamental strokes. Besides focusing on enhancing their basic stroke techniques,
players will be introduced to open concept drills and basic match play opportunities. This intense and exciting program will
prepare  players to play at a higher level. This program is designed for children aged 8 and up.

Time - (summer) 9-11 AM (After School) 3-5 PM
Price - One Day Per Week = $55
               Two Days Per Week = $75
               Unlimited =$95

The Academy  Program

The Academy  program is the next step after the player has successfully completed
Introductory and Development program or has been evaluated by our teaching staff at the tennis center. The program will focus on stroke production, match play skills and acquiring specialty shots. This Program will certainly take your game to a higher level. Players who excel within this group may be invited to represent the club junior team. This program is designed for children aged 8 and up.

Time - (summer) 10 AM-12 Noon (After School) 4-6 PM
Price - Two Days Per Week = $75
               Unlimited = $95
